Christ Centered . . . Employee Owned
Inspiration
Fleetwood Group was founded in 1955 by Norwood Hubbell. Norwood had two inspirations in beginning the company:
- He had innovative product ideas for the education market: a line of mobile furniture and an integrated electronic teaching lab (this unique pairing laid the groundwork for our current product portfolio) .
- He sensed a vocational calling: create a Christ-centered business .
A half century later we remain committed to both of these two founding inspirations.
Employee-owned
In 1975 Fleetwood Group became one of the first ESOPs in the US. In 2006 we were recognized as the National ESOP of the Year. As a 100% employee-owned company we benefit from an exceptional level of commitment and dedication that results in a sustainable competitive advantage.
Christ-centered
Our organization is driven by a Purpose Statement that defines our vision and mission.
Fleetwood Group strives to be a Christ-centered organization committed to honoring God in all we do by:
- Meeting customer needs with excellence by providing highest value products through innovation, quality, cost, delivery and service.
- Supporting Christian causes through prayer, active involvement, and generous financial contributions.
- Nurturing a positive culture that upholds employee-ownership; endorses servant leadership and teamwork; provides respect and care for each team member-owner; and promotes accountability and continuous improvement.
- Achieving financial (cash) targets in order to fulfill our obligations to our team member-owners, customers, causes, suppliers and communities.
