Fleetwood has openings in our Furniture division on day shift and night shift this summer! We will consider applicants who want to work day shift (6am-4:30pm) or on either one of our night shifts (4:30pm-3:00am or 7:30pm-6:00am) full-time or part-time during the summer. We work Monday through Thursday with overtime offered on Friday's and occasional half-days on Saturday. We are able to offer full-time or part-time opportunities that are flexible depending on your needs and other commitments. 

Candidates interested in working night shift would also receive a $1.25 per hour premium on top of the hourly wage, and all summer workers will be eligible for an end of season bonus dependent on how many hours you work for us during the summer!

No experience is needed, all necessary training will be provided to you. Responsibilities can include fabrication of metal and wood materials, product inspection and cleaning, and product assembly.

· Demonstrates clear communication, both verbal and written, with peers and managers.

· Self-motivated needing minimal supervision and has a good attendance record.

· Physically able to perform rigorous daily activities and heavy lifting as needed.

· Able to perform visual quality inspections

General Purpose:

Builds, implements, and maintains test systems to ensure functionality of small, low-powered devices for the Electronics Division.

Essential Functions:

  • Works as part of a small team to design ground-up test systems.  
  • Builds test fixtures to program and functionally test products, in support of manufacturing.
  • Partners with the product owner to determine necessary resources.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains current and future testing infrastructure.
  • Documents test requirements and fixture design.
  • Supports production-related needs by repairing tools and fixtures as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience designing and implementing electro-mechanical systems is required.
  • A two-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to understand the overall design of a test system (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Pneumatic, etc.).
  • Must have basic problem-solving skills to execute solutions to basic problems independently.
  • Understanding and/or experience with CAD/Mechanical and Electronics design necessary.
  • Must have the ability to select test system components (DAQ, Power Supply, Sensors, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio .NET programming.
  • Must be excellent with hands-on work and enjoys building fixtures.
  • Must have experience in wiring test systems.
  • Must work well with small teams and enjoy working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Competent soldering skills needed.

This position would assemble of a wide variety of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and air tools. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work to provide high quality products completed and delivered in a timely manner.

Fleetwood is looking for a Press Brake Operator on our Day Shift in the Furniture division! This full-time position works from 6:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday with overtime on Friday's during our busy season in the summer.

General Purpose:

Under limited supervision, operates machinery and uses various processes and equipment to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products while meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards. Performs set ups, follows written instructions, and reads drawing specifications for multiple types of machinery.

Essential Functions:

  • Following Standard Work Instructions, operates multiple types of production machines involving difficult operations, close tolerances, and complex set-ups of parts of irregular shapes.
  • Loads and operates general manufacturing equipment.
  • Reads and interprets dimensions and other information from all types of drawings.
  • Completes daily and necessary paperwork.
  • Consistently performs quality checks by utilizing measurement tools and devices.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment according to 5S and department safety guidelines.
  • Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instruction, work documentation, policies, and practices, etc., which are written in the English language.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Must observe all safety guidelines and meet efficiency standards
  • Must have the ability to train other team members in basic machine operation
