This position would assemble of a wide variety of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and air tools. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work to provide high quality products completed and delivered in a timely manner.

We currently have a position open on night shift (7:30pm - 6:00am Monday through Thursday) with great opportunities for overtime on Fridays during the summer!

Essential Functions:

  • Assembles product using basic hand tools and techniques
  • Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc., which are written in the English language
  • Follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment
  • Performs other duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency

Skills and Abilities:

  • Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting
  • Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals

Physical Demands

  • Must have to the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assist
  • Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift

General Purpose:

As a Fleetwood® Learning Environments Consultant, you would be responsible for ensuring that we are effectively partnering with schools, architects and dealers to ‘create effective learning environments.’ Through this work, you will have a significant and meaningful impact on the lives of children.

S/he develops business opportunities through networking and working with dealer partners, generates informational material and quotes for clients in a timely, organized fashion, closes sale, and works with a sales team that includes design and project coordinators to achieve complete, successful projects for our clients. Oversight of opportunities from inception through sale is critical. Establishing relationships with design firms is required. Participation in department meetings and activities in support of the team is also required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for education furniture sales opportunities and manage the day to day relationship with dealer partners and schools.
  • Drive sales and profitability by using our insights to grow share in the market and with dealers.
  • Use Bond Finder® data to develop territory and market strategy.
  • Develop business relationships with architects and designers early in the project.
  • Develop strategies for improved sales growth.
  • Assess assigned geography and work with Fleetwood® sales leadership to ensure the right distribution is in each market.
  • Develop recognition in the marketplace.
  • Respond to bids and requests for proposals, in partnership with dealer partners.
  • Communicate with management team to develop future product solutions.
  • Negotiate with prospective clients.

  • 50%+ travel in the assigned territory.

General Purpose:

Support the strategic implementation of continuous improvement practices in Operations or Business areas. Coach, teach and mentor team members and leaders on continuous improvement concepts and application.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies with assigned manufacturing operations or business area.
  • Coach, teach and mentor on continuous improvement tools and philosophies; consult on all modules of continuous improvement.
  • Create, update, and follow a coaching plan to develop Group Leaders and Team Leaders in continuous improvement methodology; develop training modules.
  • Develop continuous improvement plans for departments and lead the implementation, working directly with employees in operations or business areas of the furniture division.
  • Develop a “macro” plan on how to move the entire business unit ahead to become more efficient, not just the area impacted by improvements.
  • Evaluate new products or processes for improvement.
  • Take appropriate preventative actions to ensure safety and quality.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

The Material Handler position will use bills-of-material to pull parts from inventory for assembly and stage orders for assembly and KD packing/shipping. Put metal, wood, and purchased component parts into proper rack locations. Unload, inspect, and perform minor touch-up to items from the painting conveyor line. Conduct cycle counts of parts in-stock to maintain inventory accuracy. Organize aisles and storage racks. Perform data entry of part storage locations and inventory transactions into computer systems. Coordinate with Assembly, Metal, Wood and Shipping departments as needed to meet production and shipping schedules. Perform all job duties in accordance with safe work practices.

We currently have a position open on Night Shift (Monday through Thursday 4:45pm - 3:15am). There is also an opportunity for overtime during our summer busy season.
